A message from Judith Cutts of LSIS

Dear Colleague

I am writing from the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) which you may be aware is the new sector-owned agency for the learning and skills sector, formed from the coming together of CEL and QIA. Our role is to develop excellent and sustainable further education and skills provision across the whole sector and will work in partnership with all parts of the sector to provide vision, leadership, clarity and high quality support; practising and enabling continuous self‑improvement and capacity building.

To ensure that we are best meeting your needs we hope to increase the level of engagement we currently have with work-based learning (WBL) providers and while we work closely with many of you we are keen to open up communications with the whole WBL and independent training community. As such we have embarked on a focussed research programme, to determine how best we can communicate with you and partners to exchange information and ideas on how LSIS can support you and keep the WBL community up to date with real and practical news and developments from LSIS.

If you would like to influence how we communicate with you in the future please complete this short online survey, www.lsis.org.uk/WBLandLSIS, which should take between 10-15 minutes, by the 24 July 2009.

We are always interested to hear your thoughts on how we can improve our service and communication.

Thank you for your time.

Judith Cutts
