Overview
In this conference you’ll discover how practitioners in the work-based learning sector are using technology innovatively and effectively in order to raise the quality and efficiency of their provision.
You’ll find out what the latest technologies can offer your organisation as you start planning for the new contractual year.  You’ll hear the latest on how Web 2.0 technologies are changing the skills landscape, and are likely to do so in the future.
 
Aims and Objectives
The aims of the conference are to:
  • Raise awareness of the technologies currently used in the WBL sector and how they are helping providers increase the efficiency and quality of provision
  • Demonstrate opportunities offered by current technology
  • Showcase examples of good practice in the use of Information Learning Technologies in the WBL sector
  • Promote discussion on how to overcome the challenges faced by WBL providers in incorporating technology into their organisations
The event will include presentations from practitioners and experts on:
  • Using Mobile Technology
  • Introducing Moodle into your organisation
  • Using Web 2.0 Technology
  • Implementing an e-portfolio system
  • Inclusion and Accessibility
  • Using Electronic Voting Equipment

Work-Based Learning Practitioners, Assessors, Managers, IT Managers, ILT/e-Learning Co-ordinators, members of the Learning Resource team and other Support staff.

Blackboard VLE Forum - 22 July 2009

This first Blackboard forum for many years, will have an open agenda on any issues you may wish to bring to the table. This is not a vendor forum, but an informal chance to discuss your issues and ideas.
The event is hosted at Brooklands College and this will provide an opportunity to view their comprehensive and bespoke solution for providing analysing curriculum use of the VLE.
The purpose of the forum is simply to help stimulate continued support by the people who are using the VLE for the people who are using the VLE.

For those that have not attended the RSC SE’s e-Learning Fair before, this annual event has become the premier gathering for all ILT professionals involved in post-16 education in the South East region. With its combination of 12 seminars and a highly focused exhibition, the e-Learning Fair provides the ideal opportunity to learn about the latest issues and technologies as well as to network with colleagues.
Previous delegates and exhibitors will be aware of the success of past e-Learning Fairs organised by the RSC SE and this year promises to improve on our already high standard. The e-Learning Fair 2009 will be held in the wonderful setting of the Hilton St Anne’s Manor Bracknell, complete with convenient parking, luxurious facilities, relaxing gardens (if the weather is kind) and a huge airy conservatory (if not).
 
Pricing
Delegates: £50 per person (£35 ‘early bird’ rate before 1st September 2009) which includes entry, lunch, refreshments during the day and a climate-neutral ‘goodie’ bag.
Exhibitors: £150 covering entry for two representatives, a single table (5 x 2 ft) for exhibiting and one broadband wireless connection.
DELEGATES ONLY: Please note that broadband wireless will only be available to delegates if specifically requested at the time of booking and at an additional charge of £15.00 per person.
