Babcock is a national provider of vocational training across the UK. With an office based in Portsmouth we provide training throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, delivering apprenticeships and commercial short courses across a range of sectors including hospitality, engineering, retail, active leisure, automotive, adult and early years care.

Aspiral Learning, the apprenticeship team at Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT), is one of the largest apprenticeship providers in Hampshire. Working with local and national employers, Aspiral Learning offers more than 60 apprenticeships from Level 2 to 5, across a wide range of areas.

Studying an apprenticeship with Aspiral Learning gives students the chance to learn on the job, gaining the qualifications and experience they need, while earning a salary.

CLC is an experienced, high quality training provider, specialising in the delivery of Traineeships and Apprenticeships throughout the South of England. We are funded by the Skills Funding Agency, graded as Good by Ofsted and work in partnership with Employers, Schools, Academies, Colleges, Local Authorities and Job Centre Plus. Catch22

Catch22 is a national charity (a merger between Rainer and crime Concern) with a 200 year history of working with under-supported young people. Catch22 champions & supports young people who deserve more out of life. Our Learning & Employability service supports young people (14-25 years) who are not engaged in education, training or work. Eastleigh College

Eastleigh College is a Further Education provider offering full-time and part-time technical and professional courses, in addition to Apprenticeships and Higher Education qualifications. The College currently has over 22,000 learners and works directly with over 1,100 employees from across the region. It is ranked 1st in Hampshire and 10th nationally against all other 6th form and further education colleges for its student achievement rates.

Farnborough College of Technology

Farnborough College of Technology offers exceptional teaching and learning facilities and in November 2011 the College was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted across all of its work. The College has an extensive offer of Apprenticeships and work-based provision working with companies of all sizes. The combination of excellent success rates and the quality of training and support confirms why the college is in the top five in the UK. Hampshire County Council

Hampshire Futures sits within the Childrens’ Services Department of Hampshire County Council with responsibility to support young people and adults in Hampshire to achieve economic wellbeing and quality of life. Havant & South Downs College

At Havant & South Downs College we deliver outstanding quality professional training, using assessors and trainers who have many years of industry experience. From your initial interest in an Apprentice, our highly experienced team of account managers will support you. We help with understanding the legislation surrounding Apprenticeships, finding the right Apprentice, using your LEVY Funds and digital account and accessing additional government funding to support training and development in your organisation. The Military Preparation College

Since its formation in 1999, The Military Preparation College has been the chosen military mentor to young people aged 16-18, mainly through its Army College division. Portsmouth College

Portsmouth College offers Apprenticeship and Adult Education provision with a range of courses suited to the needs of local business and community. In partnership with employers we offer a unique experience of learning and development delivered by highly experienced subject specialists within the Portsmouth and Hampshire area.

Southampton Engineering Training Association

SETA, the Southampton Engineering Training Association, has been training engineers for over 50 years.  We specialise in engineering apprenticeships and adult skills training and offer a range of commercial and bespoke courses and qualifications, covering a wide range of engineering skill areas, from electrical, mechanical, milling & turning, design & draughtsperson through to welding & fabrication. Southampton City Council

Southampton City Council supports Apprenticeships both as an employer and with brokerage service to local Southampton businesses.

We have an action plan which details how we are enabling the people of the city to progress in fulfilling careers, and the city’s businesses to recruit successfully and grow and prosper.

Our key targets and objectives include:

  • Improving information, advice and guidance for young people so they can make informed career choices and be inspired by the apprenticeship opportunities in the city
  • Work with schools and colleges to raise awareness, the recruitment of local Apprentice Ambassadors to promote apprenticeships, and the production of an ambassadors film.
  • Introduction of an ‘Apprenticeship First’ scheme for jobs within the Council
  • Implementation of a local helpline and support for Southampton businesses to help them to take on apprentices

In addition, we have been developing information on current and future skills and employment demands for the city so that apprenticeship providers can ensure they are training young people in the skills needed for the city’s economy.

Solent University

Solent University is a dynamic and ambitious university, with a reputation for industry focused courses and our higher and degree apprenticeship programmes bring further learning into the workplace. Sparsholt Business Training, delivering apprenticeships at Sparsholt and Andover Colleges, has excellent links with over 1,100 employers across more than 40 different industries. Our two easy-to-reach locations offer a range of land-based and business subjects from Equine to Electrical Installation, with new standards and apprenticeships being added on a regular basis.

The University of Portsmouth

The University of Portsmouth has a strong reputation for teaching excellence and for staff and student satisfaction, alongside internationally excellent research strengths.
